Project Description
RUN21 is an iconic Ukrainian running club founded by Mary Golota, a World Marathon Majors Six-Star Finisher.
The logo holds deep personal significance for the club’s members, many of whom have it tattooed. This includes Mary herself, who has the logo tattooed on her neck. With this in mind, the restyling process prioritized preserving the logo’s original essence while enhancing its design.
The previous logo was a simple vectorized typeface. To modernize it, we refined the vectors, added a more dynamic shape, and integrated the colors of the Ukrainian flag. This subtle addition reflects the club’s heritage without altering its core identity.
To further emphasize the club's Ukrainian origin, we add a tagline, “Ukrainian Running Club.”
The tagline uses the RockStar typeface by Kyrylo Tkachov — a Ukrainian type designer and member of the Armed Forces — adding an extra layer of cultural and symbolic significance.
